Dear Parents and Carers,
This year School Council have been thinking about ways that our school can help to support the local community. Due to the current cost of living and the increased need for such services, they have decided they would like to support a local foodbank.
We have been in touch with Hope Hounslow who run foodbank services from their St Pauls’ and Good Shepherd locations in Hounslow. They have provided us with a list of items they are most urgently in need of.
If you are able to, we would be grateful if you could donate one of the items from the list below. Your child should bring it to school on Monday 26th June and give it to their class teacher so that all contributions can be donated to the foodbank. The food will be collected by volunteers from the foodbank so unfortunately, we will not be able to accept donations after this date.
In order for the items to be accepted by the Hope Hounslow, all donations must be unopened and in date, so please check the expiry date before sending them in. Also, please do not donate any perishable, fresh or frozen food.
Items requested by Hope Hounslow are:
• Tea bags (small boxes)
• Coffee (small jars)
• Fruit squash
• Tinned foods
• Jars of pasta sauce
• Breakfast cereals
• Rice (small bags)
• Noodles
• Biscuits
• Long-life milk (please do not donate fresh milk that needs refrigerating)
• Shampoo
• Shower gel
• Toothpaste
• Nappies (all sizes)
• Baby wipes
• Washing up liquid
• Washing powder (small boxes)
Thank you for your continued support.
