The next chapter of the Hounslow Digital Festival of Storytelling is all about you.
As part of the ongoing celebration of the spoken word, it’s now time for Hounslow residents to share their stories.
Your poems, family histories and fables will be used to showcase the rich diversity of Hounslow and its communities. It can be, as well, an intergenerational conversation between grandparents and children, talking about what stories they were told when they were young.
They will form part of a playlist on Hounslow Council’s Festival of Storytelling Youtube Channel. Some of those chosen will also be brought breathtakingly to life by professional illustrators.
To help build these stories the festival team has put together a special storytelling toolkit with the help of some of the country's finest professional tale tellers. There are guides to download that will give you tips on how to record your story.
The storytelling inbox summerofculture@hounslow.gov.uk for residents to send their stories in audio or video will be open until 6 March.
