Ukraine - Information for Parents

 

Although not wishing to upset our children about current events in the Ukraine, they may of course be watching the news or having conversations with each other about what they think is happening. You may well have spoken about this at home.

We have both Russian and Ukrainian families that we are keen to support. Regardless of your beliefs on this situation, children will undoubtedly feel unsettled when they hear about 'war' and wonder whether it may at some point affect our country.

If nothing else, this is a point in history that our children will learn about and we cannot shelter them from the facts. If the topic comes up at school, teachers will sensitively address it with age-appropriate material.
